Emily McCay, ASW
Hi, I'm Emily. I'm an Associate Clinical Social Worker with over five years of experience working with adults and teens who want to better understand themselves, their relationships, patterns, experiences, and parts of their history that may still be showing up today. Ultimately, I want to help people make sense of where they've been so they can have more choice in how they want to live moving forward.
My specialties include working with adults navigating trauma & emotional regulation | men's mental health | relationships & attachment | anger management | domestic violence | addiction & recovery | anxiety & depression | and more. Additional interests I'm currently taking professional trainings on include working with couples and also the perinatal/maternal mental health community.

Understand where you've been. Choose where you're going.
My approach is considered eclectic, integrative, relational, and trauma-informed, utilizing modalities such as psychodynamic, acceptance commmitment therapy (ACT), and behavioral therapies such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). I enjoy exploring with clients their deeper sense of self while also providing real-life and practical tools to help facilitate change. I can be grounding, compassionate, empathetic, and direct. Just depends on the client.
