I believe that people are capable of change, even when change is messy, uncomfortable, or takes more than one try.

I began my career in mental health by becoming a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) while working in addiction treatment for about 4 years. Soon after, I graduated with my MSW from Western New Mexico University. Since then, my work has expanded to include individual and some couples therapy, school-based mental health services, crisis intervention, and facilitating court-mandated domestic violence intervention groups.

My connection to my work is personal, too. My own experiences with recovery, domestic violence, family, relationships, and therapy have helped shape the way I see people, their experiences, and the change process. I believe that we're all much more than the hardest chapters of our lives.

Outside of being a therapist, I'm a mom to two boys, in a committed relationship, have two cats, and love being outside whenever I can. Give me nature, the beach, a sunset, a rainy day, a good hike, a dirt bike, or a scary movie and some lavendar chamomile tea and I'm pretty happy.

At the end of the day, I'm a therapist, but I'm also a human. I value authenticity, connection, humor, and creating spaces where people don't feel like they have to have it all figured out. Hope to hear from you!
